Student visa applicants must make an appointment for a visa interview by logging on to the CGI appointment system at or by calling the CGI call center at 01-440-6218.  Please note that if you have been refused a student visa, you are not allowed to schedule an appointment for 7 days after the refusal. Students may schedule their visa appointments before they receive their I-20 forms but must bring the I-20 forms with them on the day of their interviews. The United States Mission to Nigeria reserves appointment slots every day for student visa applicants and responds to requests for expedited appointments during peak student visa seasons to ensure they will be able to apply well in advance of the start of their studies.

Once the applicant has made a visa appointment, he or she should gather all supporting documents and forms (see list below), and bring them to the interview.
